How it works

A Vedic birthday isn't the same Gregorian date every year — it's the day your birth tithi (lunar day) or nakshatra (star) comes back around, which drifts a little each year the way the Islamic or Chinese calendars do. Working it out by hand means knowing which lunar month you were born in, whether it was an adhika (leap) month, and whether the tithi had already ended by sunrise that day — all of which shift the date. We do that calculation for you.

Date, time and place of birth — the exact time and place matter, since they fix which tithi or nakshatra you were born under.

Pick your region

Choose the calendar tradition your family follows — it decides which lunar month and year naming applies.
